In places like APAC (Asia-Pacific), 92% of leaders say modernising apps was the most important step in improving their AI capabilities.

In the past, AI work was mostly about small tests or experiments. Companies are now working to make AI a part of their normal operations. Everyday systems use AI to improve internal processes and enhance customer-facing apps. In APAC, 90% of the biggest companies have already added AI to their current apps.

Companies that don’t update their apps on time have bigger problems. When they wait until something goes wrong, like a security breach, they often find that their systems aren’t ready for AI. Such situations can slow things down and waste time fixing problems instead of moving AI projects forward.

When apps are modernised, developers spend more time maintaining systems that work. In companies that lag behind, developers often spend more time fixing problems or rebuilding systems. This difference affects how quickly new AI abilities can be added and improved.
