NEW YORK, Feb. 4, 2026 – IBM (NYSE: IBM) has opened a global request for proposals (RFP) for the next group of the IBM Impact Accelerator. This program is focused on using Artificial Intelligence to improve education and help people find good jobs. Nonprofits, government groups, and schools are invited to work with IBM to create solutions that help people learn better and transition into new jobs.

Why This Matters

There is a growing gap between what people are learning and what employers need. As ai changes jobs, workers need to learn new skills faster. A recent study by IBM shows that 67% of business leaders say jobs are changing quickly, and by 2030, many of today’s skills will not be useful. Pearson also found that poor connections between education and work cost the U.S. economy around $1.1 trillion each year.

Many people are turning to online courses to keep up, but schools and training programs are not always equipped to handle the fast changes. Many organizations don’t have the tools or data needed to keep up. To address these challenges, IBM announces AI-driven solutions for education and workforce development through its Impact Accelerator program. This initiative aims to support organizations working on new ways to help people learn and grow their skills in response to rapid changes in the job market.

What IBM is Offering

IBM is inviting organizations to use AI to solve problems in education and workforce training. Some ideas for projects could be:

  • AI-powered teaching tools
  • Personalized learning systems
  • Career guidance assistants
  • Data platforms that connect learners to real job opportunities

The organizations selected will get a two-year grant that includes free access to IBM’s technologies like IBM Watsonx, IBM Cloud, and IBM Quantum. They will also receive support from IBM’s team of experts. IBM is also working with EY, a company that shares IBM’s goal of using AI to help communities facing economic and environmental challenges.

How to Apply

This RFP is open now, and applications can be submitted until March 25, 2026. If you want to apply or learn more, visit the IBM Impact Accelerator website. If you have any questions, you can email impact.accelerator@ibm.com.
